VA Disability Claim Medical Services

We are proud to support fellow veterans by providing objective medical documentation that may be used in support of VA disability claims. We offer in-person DBQ evaluations and evidence-based medical opinions (nexus letters) when the medical evidence supports an opinion.

Important: We provide medical services only. We do not provide legal advice, we do not file claims, and we do not guarantee any VA outcome. We are not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Medical Opinion / Nexus Letter

A medical opinion (often called a nexus letter) explains whether a current medical condition is at least as likely as not related to military service, or whether it is secondary to (or aggravated by) another condition. We write opinions based on the clinical record, objective findings, and accepted medical principles.

  • Includes:
    • Targeted review of records relevant to the claimed condition (VA and/or private records you provide)
    • Review of your history of onset, symptoms, and course (including relevant service history/exposures you report)
    • Clear medical rationale addressing alternative causes when applicable
    • Opinion framed for direct service connection, secondary causation, and/or aggravation when medically appropriate
    • Typical pricing (per condition):
      • 1 condition: $300
      • 2 conditions: $275 each
      • 3–4 conditions: $250 each
      • 5+ conditions: $225 each

Note: Complex cases or unusually large records may require additional review; we will confirm your exact estimate after intake.

DBQ Completion (In-Person Visit – Overland Park, KS)

DBQs (Disability Benefits Questionnaires) document current symptoms, functional impact, and objective findings in a standardized format. We complete DBQs based on an in-person evaluation and available supporting records.

  • Includes:
    • In-person history and physical examination focused on the claimed condition
    • Objective measurements and documentation needed for the DBQ when applicable
    • Review of relevant records you provide (limited to the condition being evaluated)
    • Completed DBQ provided to you for submission as part of your claim
    • Typical pricing (per condition):
      • 1 condition: $150
      • 2 conditions: $135 each
      • 3–4 conditions: $125 each
      • 5+ conditions: $110 each

Note: Some DBQs may require specialty evaluation depending on the condition. If we are not the right fit for a specific DBQ, we will tell you up front.

Bundled Savings (DBQ + Nexus for the Same Condition)

When both a DBQ and a medical opinion are completed for the same condition, the bundled price is 20% less than the combined total based on the per-condition rates above.

Extensive Medical Record Review to Identify Possible Claims

Not sure what to claim or how your conditions may relate to service? We can perform an in-depth review of your available medical records to identify possible claimable conditions and evidence gaps. This service does not include DBQ completion or a medical opinion, but those services may be added afterward if appropriate at a discounted rate.

  • Includes:
    • Comprehensive review of the medical records you provide (VA and/or private)
    • Identification of potential conditions and common service-connection pathways (direct, secondary, aggravation) from a medical standpoint
    • Summary of key evidence already present and what records/testing may be missing
    • Typical pricing (total):
      • $150–$400 depending on file size and complexity

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do you file my claim or represent me? No — we provide medical services only; consider an accredited VSO/representative for filing. We can make recommendations and/or provide guidance for self-submission.
  2. Do you guarantee a VA rating or outcome? No.
  3. Will VA still schedule a C&P exam? Sometimes — VA may request additional exams even when private documentation is submitted.
  4. Do you accept insurance for these services? No — We do not accept insurance for the medical opinion or DBQ completion. However, if it is medically necessary to order additional diagnostic studies (x-ray, labs, etc.), it is possible that you would be able to use your insurance for those tests.
  5. How do I get started? Begin by filling out this INTAKE FORM or by email us at support@valorkc.com. Completion and submission of this form does NOT obligate you to proceed with our services, and there is no fee for submitting the intake form alone. After review, we will notify you whether we are able to assist and provide a written estimate of the cost for the requested services.
  6. What if I complete the intake form and you decide that you aren’t able to help me? If we cannot help you OR if we believe that you are able to accomplish this on your own and won’t benefit from our services, we will tell you and you pay nothing.
